Our Story
It all started in 2024 during a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. Five friends, one excel spreadsheet, and a lot of confusion about who paid for gas at the last stop.
By the time we reached Big Sur, the spreadsheet was broken, and the mood was tense. We realized that existing tools were clunky, ugly, or overly complicated. We just wanted a simple way to say "I paid for this" and have the math work itself out.
That weekend, the first version of Splitify was coded on a laptop in a motel room. Since then, we've grown from a travel hack to a platform trusted by roommates, couples, and travel groups worldwide.
